HONDA PLAY

This advert was a BTAA crafts award winner for best model-making. One of the first Honda spots for Wieden and Kennedy. Asylum took a new car and produced a playground for children. Car shells were moulded and fabricated to produce rocking seesaws, wheels and tyres as cushions, interiors and seats as building blocks for dens and tunnels. Engines, tubes and wiring were brightly coloured to invigorate a child's imagination. The final sequence saw the car built in stop frame animation with all the component parts that had been fabricated in various materials, dissolving through to a real car.
